May 2023 Meeting Minutes

Chris and Elizabeth Ackman hosted the May, 2023 B.A.S.H. meeting on Sunday the 21st at their home in Portland.

President Vic Aguilar called the meeting to order, thanked our hosts and welcomed guests Zach Albrecht, Dave Jolly and Kelly Donnell from Portland. Treasurer Walt Crawford reported a healthy treasury balance.

Vic brewed 15 gallons of Nearly Nirvana Pale Ale at Big Brew. He will make 10 gallons available for CC Beer Festival. Chris reported that logo option #2 won the club survey. He will get koozies made with the new logo and hopes to have club business cards available at the beer festival. Club officer elections for fiscal year 2024 will take place at the June meeting.

Our tally of brewing volume for April, 2023 was sparse: Vic – 5 gallons. YTD totals for 2023: Chris Ackman – 10 gallons, Vic Aguilar – 30 gallons, Roger Barnaby – 5 gallons, Dave & Kathy Clark – 5 gallons, Walt Crawford – 5 gallons, Jason Fransham – 33.25 gallons, Nick Jones – 5 gallons, Wild Bill Lehfeld– 10 gallons, Tom Ormrod – 32.5 gallons, Jay Porterfield – 6 gallons, Andy Vaughn – 35 gallons. Total YTD = 176.75 gallons beer.

There was no competition this month.

As we devoured chicken and sausage pastalaya, we guzzled homebrews and commercial beers.

A random question was overheard – “How do you make it hard?” (Source withheld to avoid embarrassing Liz.)
