Mark Woerner hosted the September, 2021 B.A.S.H. meeting on Sunday the 12th at his home in Corpus Christi. The rain from Tropical Storm Nicholas ended immediately before the meeting began, just as we planned.
Vice President of Competitions Tim Grace called the meeting to order, thanked our host and welcomed returning member Adam Klager. Vic Aguilar volunteered to be administrator for November’s Iron Mash XVIII. We will finalize the brewing teams during the October meeting. The KEDT-TV Classic Brew has been postponed until October due to community COVID concerns.
There was no competition this month. We have competitions scheduled for each of the next two monthly meetings. Please label your entries using the forms on the club website.
As we devoured Mark’s nilgai sausage and backstrap rollups we enjoyed new homebrews from Vic (American barleywine/imperial stout), Walt Crawford (chocolate milk stout), Paul Holder (hazy IPA), Rusty Keyes (IPA), Tom Ormrod (pub ale/milk chocolate peanut butter nitro stout/maple nitro imperial stout) and Adan Suarez (American pale ale/barrel-aged stout). Interesting commercial beers included John Fulton’s Lorelei Merdude and Jack Heim’s North Coast Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin.
