The June, 2026 B.A.S.H. meeting AND POOL PARTY took place on Sunday the 14th at the home of Walt and Judy Crawford in King’s Crossing, hosted by Jason and Joelle Fransham. Jack Heim called the meeting to order and thanked our venue and food hosts. Treasurer Walt twisted a few arms for dues money and gave another satisfactory Treasurer’s report. He then auctioned off a photo provided by Paul Baen, earning another $25 for the club.

In his Secretary’s report, Wild Bill Lehfeld reviewed upcoming meetings, special events and competitions.

Brewing volumes for May are as follows: Chris Ackman – 3 gallons, Big Brew – 13 gallons, Jack/Carroll Pate/Mike Wojdyla – 5 gallons, Wild Bill – 2.5 gallons, Tom Ormrod – 5 gallons, Jay Porterfield/Funks – 11 gallons, total = 39.5 gallons. YTD totals for 2026: Chris Ackman – 13 gallons, Vic Aguilar – 34 gallons, Big Brew – 13 gallons, Walt Crawford – 5 gallons, Jason Fransham – 7 gallons, Jack Heim/Carroll Pate/Mike Wojdyla – 5 gallons, Wild Bill – 7.5 gallons, Tom Ormrod – 23 gallons, Jay/Funks – 27 gallons, Hershel Tritt – 6 gallons mead, Andy Vaughn – 5 gallons, total = 145.5 gallons beer and mead.

We elected officers for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. Jay Porterfield will be the new competition director, with all other current officers continuing for another term.

The competition this month was open to any style. Beers finishing 1 st , 2 nd or 3 rd belonging to the featured style (British Bitter, BJCP 11A-C) earned double Homebrewer of the Year points. With five competitors, 1st place was worth 3 points (doubled for British Bitter), 2nd place earned 2 points (doubled for British Bitter) 3rd place earned 1 point (doubled for British Bitter) and 4th place and beyond earned diddly squat.

Results from the elite panel of celebrity judges are as follows:

  1. Chris – Best Bitter (BJCP 11B) 36/50 – 6 HBOY points

  2. Chris – American Porter (BJCP 20A) 35.3/50 – 2 HBOY points

After 6 of 6 competitions in the 2025/2026 competition year, cumulative results are as follows:
