Tim Grace and Mary Kay Schultz hosted the March, 2025 B.A.S.H. meeting on Sunday the 9th at their condo in downtown Corpus Christi. President Vic Aguilar called the meeting to order and thanked our hosts.

Treasurer Walt Crawford presented his typical report – Blah, Blah, Blah and lottery ticket. In his secretary’s report, Wild Bill Lehfeld reviewed upcoming meeting hosts and competitions. Our brewing total for February was as follows: Jason Fransham – 2 gallons, Wild Bill – 2.5 gallons, Tom Ormrod – 10 gallons. YTD totals for 2025: Jason Fransham – 4 gallons, Wild Bill – 2.5 gallons, Tom Ormrod – 20 gallons, Jay Porterfield/Funks – 4.5 gallons. Total for 2025 = 31 gallons (362.25 gallons beer and mead in 2024).

The AHA has published the official recipe for Big Brew 2025 – Big Blimp! American Barleywine. Liz Ackman announced that Windfest (March 27 – 30) needs volunteer pourer/tappers. Andy Vaughn volunteered to make nametags. John Brett brought one pound each of four types of pellet hops (Citra/Mosaic/El Dorado/Galaxy) donated by Narrow Gauge Brewery in St. Louis. The hops were parceled out in two-ounce bags to eager recipients.

There was no competition this month.

As we dined on Mary Kay’s Irish seafood coddle and colcannon, we enjoyed new homebrews by Tom (IPA) and Andy (session IPA). A treasure trove of interesting commercial beers were shared by Chris (Reservoir Dogs Spirit of Islay Barrel Aged Barleywine/Odell Hazer Tag Hazy IPA/Eureka Heights Buckle Bunny Citrus Cream Ale), Vic (903 Imperial Dank Ale), John (Narrow Gauge Alchemize/Up Up Down Down Hazy Imperial Triple Dry Hopped IPA), Jason (Taj Mahal Premium Lager/Spindletap Bull Rush DIPA), Mark Marshall (Parish Barrel Aged Swamp Snacks 2023/Infinite Ghost 2024) and Andy (Chimay Premiere Barrel Fermented).
