Tom Ormrod hosted the May 2025 B.A.S.H. meeting on Sunday the 18th at his home in Corpus Christi. President Vic Aguilar called the meeting to order, thanked our host and welcomed new member David Villarreal.

In his secretary’s report, Wild Bill Lehfeld reviewed upcoming meeting hosts and competitions. Our brewing total for April was as follows: Chris Ackman – 5 gallons, Jack Heim/Carroll Pate – 5 gallons, Wild Bill Lehfeld – 2.5 gallons, Tom Ormrod – 15 gallons. YTD totals for 2025: Chris –15 gallons, Jason Fransham – 6.5 gallons, Jack/Carroll – 5 gallons, Wild Bill – 5 gallons, Tom – 45 gallons, Jay Porterfield/Funks – 4.5 gallons, Andy Vaughn – 5 gallons. Total for 2025 = 86 gallons (362.25 gallons beer and mead in 2024).

There was no competition this month.

As we devoured pulled pork, we reduced existing homebrew inventory, including Tom’s multiple beers on tap. Interesting commercial beers included those provided by David Funk (Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA/Parish Cypremort Point Berliner/Pinthouse Snake Dance Sour Boogie DDH West Coast IPA), Doug Funk (Martin House Blackbird/Martin House Outbreak Strawberry Banana Sour/Stone Hazy IPA), Jack Heim (Bubba Brews Onyx Moon Dopplebock), Karen Heim (Lost Forty Kilt Optional Scotch Ale), Rusty
