Tom Ormrod hosted the May, 2026 B.A.S.H. meeting on Sunday the 17 th at his home in Corpus Christi. Secretary Wild Bill Lehfeld called the meeting to order, thanked our host and welcomed new member Virgil Coleman from Rockport. Congratulations Joseph Lewis on earning an electrical engineering degree from TAMUCC!

Wild Bill reviewed upcoming meetings, special events and competitions.

Brewing volumes for April are as follows: Jason Fransham – 2 DELICIOUS gallons, Wild Bill – 2.5 gallons, Jay Porterfield/Funks – 11 gallons, total = 15.5 gallons. YTD totals for 2026: Chris Ackman – 10 gallons, Vic Aguilar – 34 gallons, Walt Crawford – 5 gallons, Jason Fransham – 7 gallons, Wild Bill – 5 gallons, Tom Ormrod – 18 gallons, Jay/Funks – 16 gallons, Hershel Tritt – 6 gallons mead, Andy Vaughn – 5 gallons, total = 106 gallons beer and mead.

There was no competition this month.

As we devoured Tom’s backyard wood oven pizza, we enjoyed Hershel’s melonberry mead. Mucho commercial beers were shared, including by Will Amaya (Bay Area - The Dormant Viper Strong Blonde Ale), Cary Blocker (Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA/Three Wide Sublime Bramble Blackberry & Key Lime IPA), Jason (Deep Ellum Dream Crusher DIPA/Rupee India Pale Ale), Wild Bill (Lakewood XIII Anniversary Bourbon Barrel Temptress), Jeremy Lewis (Lagunitas Hop Stoopid DIPA/Louvada Porter), Joseph (Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout), Mark Marshall (Pinthouse/Weldwerks Juicy Fish Hazy DIPA/Vista/Meanwhile Running With Scissors Imperial IPA), Lou Needleman (Woodstock Inn Autumn Ale Brew), and Jay (Freetail La Muerta 2018/Live Oak Big Bark Amber Lager/Megaton Night of the Comet IPA). An after dinner cigar or two made an appearance.
