Mark Woerner hosted the September, 2025 B.A.S.H. meeting on Sunday the 14^th at his home in Corpus Christi. President Vic Aguilar called the meeting to order, thanked our host and welcomed Sean Hook, a guest of the Funks. 

In his secretary’s report, Wild Bill Lehfeld reviewed upcoming meetings, special events and competitions. Our brewing total for August was as follows: Wild Bill – 2.5 gallons, Jay Porterfield/Funks – 10 gallons, Andy Vaughn – 10 gallons. YTD totals for 2025: Chris Ackman – 20 gallons, Big Brew – 9 gallons, Jason Fransham– 14.5 gallons, Jack Heim/Carroll Pate – 5 gallons, Wild Bill – 12.5 gallons, Tom Ormrod – 45 gallons, Jay Porterfield/Funks – 19.5 gallons, Andy Vaughn – 15 gallons, Joe Wyatt– 5 gallons mead. Total for 2025 = 145.5 gallons (362.25 gallons beer and mead in 2024). Jason mentioned that member Lynne Wyatt is in the hospital.

There was no competition this month. Once again, host Mark served up a wild game feast. This year featured nilgai antelope in the form of burgers, sausage and jalapeño/bacon rollups. We reduced existing homebrew inventory and enjoyed a couple of new efforts from Jay and the Funks – Czech Pilsner and “Failed Expectations” Flaccid IPA. Jason also contributed a Belgian Blond Ale. As usual, the commercial beers were freely shared by Jason (Bildegarian Imperial Stout), David Funk (Aurora Kohia Kush/Foam Brewers Yung Bachelor), Doug Funk (Tupps Series 41 DDHIPA). Jack Heim (Manhattan Project Double Half Life Hazy IPA), Rusty Keyes (Sierra Nevada Cosmic Little Thing IPA/ Founders Mortal Bloom Imperial Thorn Imperial IPA), Lou Needleman (Shiner Prickly Pear), Jay (Texas Beer Co. Oktaylorfest Festbier), Cathy Vaughn (Delirium Tremens) and Andy (Leffe Blonde/Saint Arnold Citrus Boom Imperial IPA/Independence Austin Amber). Mark Marshall shared some beers from Bayou Brewing and a couple of beers appeared anonymously – Lazy Magnolia Southern Hopspitality IPA and Fair State 10 Anniversary Imperial Stout.
