December 2022 Meeting Minutes

Andy and Cathy Vaughn hosted the December, 2022 B.A.S.H. meeting on Sunday the 11th at their home in Corpus Christi. The weather was beautiful, we sat outside and most attendees were in shorts. Santa hats, reindeer antlers, Grinch shirts and ugly sweaters were in abundance.

President Vic Aguilar called the meeting to order, thanked our hosts and welcomed new members Don and Karen Pierpoint. Treasurer Walt Crawford reported that all is well with the club treasury.

Our tally of brewing volume for January through November is as follows:

Club – 24.5 gallons (Big Brew and Iron Mash), Chris Ackman – 15 gallons, Vic Aguilar – 20 gallons, Roger Barnaby – 25 gallons, James Fowler – 40 gallons, Jason Fransham – 28.75 gallons, John Fulton – 15 gallons, Paul Holder – 55 gallons, Rusty Keyes – 13 gallons, Sabrina Krueger – 53, Wild Bill Lehfeld– 25 gallons, Tom Ormrod – 45 gallons, Jay Porterfield – 2 gallons, Adan Suarez – 40 gallons, Mike Terrenzi – 20 gallons, Andy Vaughn – 22.5 gallons. Total YTD = 443.75 gallons.

There was no competition this month.

As we dined on chili and cornbread we enjoyed new homebrews by Vic (weissbier/Mexican agave ale), Tom Ormrod (Imperial stout) and host Andy (Christmas ale/American pale ale). Interesting commercial beers included John Fulton’s Saint Arnold Double Down Double IPA, Jack Heim’s Oddside Rye Hipster Brunch Stout, Rusty’s Karbach Rodeo Clown Imperial Tropical IPA/Independence Stash IPA and Mary Kay Schultz’s Brewery Divint? Davro Czech Style Pilsner/Roadmap Cool Kids Cold IPA.
