July 2021 Meeting Minutes

Paul Holder hosted the July, 2021 B.A.S.H. meeting on Sunday the 11th at B&J’s Pizza on Staples at Timbergate.

New President Lara Busch called the meeting to order, thanked our hosts and welcomed new members Will Clayton and Brigitte Rox. Treasurer Walt Crawford reported that 24 returning members have paid dues for the new fiscal year so far. If you haven’t done so yet, dues of $20 for 2021 – 2022 can be paid by check made out to “Bay Area Society Of Homebrewers” and sent to the following address:

In new business, Secretary Wild Bill Lehfeld reported that Tom and Rocky Freund are looking for someone else to store the B.A.S.H. portable 5-tap bar. Jacob Dunson provisionally agreed to store it. Social Director Mary Kay Schultz advised people to stay tuned for an upcoming social at Bowlero. Lazy Beach Brewing is hosting “Dia Del Cubano” on Sunday, July 18th from 3-8 pm. For $20 you get half portions of Cuban sandwiches from Lazy Beach and from two food trucks, plus a pint of “Hot Cubana” beer brewed with our member Paul Holder. We voted on complimentary memberships for Aerodrome Distilling, B&J’s Pizza, Lazy Beach Brewing, Lorelei Brewing and Rebel Toad Brewing.

There was no competition this month. We feasted on B&J’s delicious pizza provided by Paul, washed down with the beers from May’s Big Brew, various homebrews and draft, bottled and canned beers from B&J’s vast selection.
