Tom Ormrod hosted the November, 2025 B.A.S.H. meeting on Sunday the 9th at his home in Corpus Christi. The new feather banner was proudly flying in Tom’s front yard. Jack Heim called the meeting to order, thanked our host, thanked our veterans, and welcomed new member Ryan Conner.

Walt Crawford gave another glowing treasury report. In his secretary’s report, Wild Bill Lehfeld reviewed upcoming meetings, special events and competitions. Our brewing total for October was as follows: Chris Ackman – 5 gallons, Vic – 10 gallons, Wild Bill – 2.5 gallons, Tom Ormrod – 12 gallons. YTD totals for 2025: Chris Ackman – 28 gallons, Vic Aguilar – 10 gallons, Big Brew – 9 gallons, Jason Fransham– 17 gallons, Jack Heim/Carroll Pate – 5 gallons, Wild Bill – 15 gallons, Tom Ormrod – 67 gallons, Jay Porterfield/Funks – 19.5 gallons, Andy Vaughn – 15 gallons, Joe Wyatt– 5 gallons mead. Total for 2025 = 190.5 gallons (362.25 gallons beer and mead in 2024).

Iron Mash XXII was a smashing success! Thank you to Lazy Beach Brewing for hosting! Be sure to join us at the January meeting to taste results from the three competing teams.

As we enjoyed pizza cooked in an outdoor oven, we consumed the competition beers and reduced homebrew inventory. Interesting commercial beers were shared by Chris (Warpigs Foggy Geezer Hazy IPA/Elysian Juice Dust IPA), Cary Blocker (High Water Aphotic Imperial Coffee Porter/Yuengling Hershey’s Chocolate Porter), John Brett (Narrow Guage Fallen Flag DDH Hazy IPA), Jason (Benediktiner Festbier/Lucky 19 Oktoberfest Marzen), Mark Marshall (Fass Beer Pine Mill DDH West Coast IPA/Parish/Other Half Ghost Daydream DDH Oat Cream DIPA), Lou Needleman (Karbach Crawford Bach) and Mark Woerner (Rogue Dead Guy Ale).

A spirited game of chicken5h!t bingo was won by host Tom. After accusations of graft and corruption were loudly voiced, he donated his share of the winnings to the club!

Randomly overheard comment – Chris “I was trying to grab it with the tongs”!
