The July, 2026 B.A.S.H. meeting was held on Sunday the 12th at B&J’s Pizza on Staples at Timbergate, hosted by Wild Bill Lehfeld. President Vic Aguilar called the meeting to order, thanked our venue and food hosts and welcomed guest Father Doug Wassinger. Officers for the 2026-2027 fiscal year are the same as last year, with the exception of Jay Porterfield replacing Chris Ackman as Competition Director.

In his Secretary’s report, Wild Bill reviewed upcoming meetings, special events and competitions.

Brewing volumes for June are as follows: Jason Fransham – 3 gallons, Tom Ormrod – 5 gallons, total = 8gallons. YTD totals for 2026: Chris Ackman – 13 gallons, Vic Aguilar – 34 gallons, Big Brew – 13 gallons, Walt Crawford – 5 gallons, Jason Fransham – 10 gallons, Jack Heim/Carroll Pate/Mike Wojdyla – 5 gallons, Wild Bill – 7.5 gallons, Tom Ormrod – 28 gallons, Jay/Funks – 27 gallons, Hershel Tritt – 6 gallons mead, Andy Vaughn – 5 gallons, total = 153.5 gallons beer and mead.

In new business, we voted to extend complimentary memberships for the new fiscal year to Will and Diedra Amaya of Bay Area Brewing, Chris and Nicole Baker of B&J’s Pizza. Jack and Kathy Baker of B&J’s Pizza, Brandon Harper of Nueces Brewing, Cory and Jess Mathews of Lazy Beach Brewing, Cale Moore of Nueces Brewing and Robert and Kelly Pruski of Beach Ball Brewing. We also voted to use club funds to send flowers in memory of Vic Aguilar’s father.

There was no competition this month.

As we feasted on B&J’s pizza supplied by Wild Bill, we enjoyed the Big Brew beers from May (“George and Aaron’s” Pre-Prohibition Porter and “Dark Cellar” Imperial Stout), reduced old homebrew inventory and downed pint after pint of B&J’s ice-cold drafts.
