March 2023 Meeting Minutes

Karen Heim hosted the March, 2023 B.A.S.H. meeting on Sunday the 12th at her home in Corpus Christi while husband Jack was off groping nurses somewhere.

Treasurer Walt Crawford called the meeting to order and thanked our host. The club finances remain solid. Secretary Wild Bill Lehfeld reported that ingredients for all-grain and extract versions of the AHA’s Big Brew recipe have been purchased.

Our tally of brewing volume for February, 2023 is as follows: Roger Barnaby – 5 gallons, Jason Fransham – 17.25 gallons, Wild Bill – 2.5 gallons, Tom Ormrod – 20 gallons, Andy Vaughn – 10 gallons. YTD totals for 2023: Chris Ackman – 5 gallons, Vic Aguilar – 15 gallons, Roger Barnaby – 5 gallons, Dave & Kathy Clark – 5 gallons, Jason Fransham – 33.25 gallons, Nick Jones – 5 gallons, Wild Bill Lehfeld– 5 gallons, Tom Ormrod – 20 gallons, Andy Vaughn – 20 gallons. Total YTD = 113.25 gallons beer.

There was no competition this month.

As we feasted on corned beef, we mostly reduced inventory of old homebrews. We did sample a new pale ale from Tom as well as interesting commercial beers from Walt (New Holland Dragon’s Milk White Stout) and Mark Woerner (Saint Arnold Christmas Beer 2022/Saloon Door Lava Hot Rock Pale Ale).
