September 2019 Meeting Minutes

Mark Woerner hosted the September, 2019 B.A.S.H. meeting on Sunday the 8th at his home in Corpus Christi. There was no competition or demonstration brew this month. El Presidente Mike Wojdyla called the meeting to order and thanked our host. Treasurer Walt Crawford is still collecting dues for the 2019-2020 fiscal year and the treasury remains in good shape.

The KEDT-TV Classic Brew is Thursday the 26th from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. at the science and history museum. Tim Grace and Mary Kay Schultz are leading the B.A.S.H. table and are accepting homebrew donations until Wednesday the 25th. John Fulton discussed the upcoming social at Hook & Ladder Brewpub in Aransas Pass (across the street from HEB) from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. on Sunday the 29th. Buy one beer and you can drink homebrew in the banquet room. For the December social, we’re thinking about a bonfire on the beach on Saturday the 14th about 6:00 p.m. Tom Freund announced that this years’ Iron Mash competition on Saturday November 2nd will be held at Lazy Beach Brewing beginning at high noon. We will setup at 11:00 a.m. Lazy Beach has hot and cold running water.

We wolfed down Mark’s wild game while the elk who provided much of the meat glared down at us from the wall! Wild Bill offered him a saison but he said he preferred wit.

Aside from Paul Holder’s IPA, new homebrews were a little scarce this month. Cory Mathews shared tasty Lazy Beach Kombucha and Cinnamon Shores Stout.
