Mark Woerner hosted the September, 2020 B.A.S.H. meeting on Sunday the 13th at his home in Corpus Christi.
El Presidente Jack Heim called the meeting to order, thanked our host and welcomed new members from our August social, Jack Clampit, Ryan Terry and Josh and Mari Hoien. Walt Crawford presented a superlative treasury report. Most of the discussion concerned the upcoming Iron Mash XVII. Paul Holder will supply the ingredients. Lara Busch volunteered to be the administrator. At next months’ meeting we will need to finalize the teams. Secretary Wild Bill Lehfeld will then send the equipment checklist, itinerary and rules to the team members.
There was no competition this month. After adjourning we feasted on tamales, sausage, rollups and steaks featuring nilgai and axis deer. We washed down the wild game with new homebrews from Paul (hefeweizen) and William Lee (Kölsch). Commercial beers in evidence included Lara’s Dust Bowl Therapist Imperial IPA, Sam Crecelius’ Karbach Hopadillo, Tim Grace/Mary Kay Schultz’s Alamo Alamosaic IPA/Brut Double IPA, William’s Altstadt Kölsch and host Mark’s Brazos Valley Tres Leches Stout , Guiness and Harmonic ‘Tis The Season Barrel Aged Imperial Stout.
